Lady Gaga will be coming to the Las Vegas strip in 2018. The Bad Romance singer is expected to confirm the rumors that she will begin a residency in the final quarter of next year. Fans expect an announcement soon with The Park Theater at Monte Carlo expected to become the popstar’s new home.
With the late-2018 launch of the performances, most believe Gaga’s residency could stretch well into 2019. Many reports suggest she could make up to $400,000 per show, totaling $24 million if she does indeed execute the preliminary 60-performance schedule. Gaga would join a star-studded list of artists that call Vegas home, including Britney Spears, Celine Dion, and Elton John – although John recently announced his time in Vegas will come to an end in a few months.
As for the venue, The Park Theater is quickly climbing the ranks as one of the strip’s finest attractions. Popular singers Bruno Mars and Cher currently reside at the venue. Park Theater was completed a year ago, and can fit an audience of 6,300. The addition of Gaga could propel The Park Theater into Las Vegas royalty as far as entertainment goes. An official agreement between the two sides is expected to be announced very soon.
It has been a busy year for the popstar. Less than twelve months ago, Gaga was the featured act at the Super Bowl halftime show, earning her rave reviews. The performance came right after the release of her fifth solo album, Joanne, which hit number one in the United States. Gaga is currently performing alongside Bradley Cooper in the film, A Star Is Born. Between filming, she is continuing her Bud Lite Dive Bar Tour, which made a stop in Vegas on Saturday. Thankfully, fans won’t have to wait long to see Gaga return to sin city.
